Fire Damage - Atlanta Home
Fire damage at this Atlanta home resulted from an electrical fire due to an overloaded wall outlet. The fire damaged the wall, the flooring, and the window casing above the outlet where the fire started. SERVPRO was called in to remediate the fire damage and the smoke odor that resulted from the fire. The before photo shows the fire damage to the various surfaces including the carpeting. When the carpeting was pulled back, it revealed the fire had burnt through to the hardwood floor beneath the carpeting. The homeowner decided to replace the carpeting, so we removed it for him. We tore out the damaged wall, window casing, and baseboard. We cleaned the studs and sealed the affected area to protect it from the outside. The wall was repaired, and we arranged for the window to be replaced as well as having an electrician replace the electrical outlet that had started the fire.
